Freshman Dan Bloodgood is leading the Monmouth University men’s lacrosse team in scoring. The Freehold Township High School graduate, who plays attack, has 11 goals and six assists for 17 points for the Hawks, who are still seeking their first win of the season (0-10).
Bloodgood led the Patriots to the Shore Conference A North Division title last spring and was named All-American.
Bloodgood has teamed up with his former Freehold Township teammate, Ryan Horsch, a defender. Horsch, a junior, played for Brookdale Community College last year, helping the Jersey Blues win the Region 19 title. Like Bloodgood, Horsch has started all 10 games for the Hawks. He has two goals and an assist.
