Phyllis C. Berndt

Mrs. Berndt, 62, of the Belford section of Middletown, died Nov. 22, 2009, at home. She was an administrator at Family Children Services of Monmouth County, Long Branch. Mrs. Berndt is survived by her husband, Joseph Berndt; a daughter, Kelly Duff of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three brothers, Eugene Spaide, William Spaide and Robert Spaide, all of Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Patricia Kurtis of Florida and Joan Martin of New Jersey. A funeral liturgy will was celebrated at St. Mary's Chapel, Middletown. Interment followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by at John F.
