Lincroft resident thankful for reduction in speed limit I would like to thank the Middletown Township Committee, especially Rosemarie Peters, the Monmouth County Engineer, Ted Gianecchini, and the Monmouth County Freeholders for reducing the speed limit along Swimming River Road in Lincroft to 35 mph. I would also like to thank Middletown Police Chief John Pollinger and the Middletown police officers for their continued support enforcing the 40 mph speed limit and now the new 35 mph speed limit. The new 35 mph speed limit will make our neighborhood safer for our residents as well as reduce accidents for the motoring public, and with continued enforcement we can end the 40-year history of accidents and deaths along Swimming River Road.
